Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms are a contract between you and [COMPANY NAME] ("Platey", "we", "us") governing your use of the Platey website and service. By creating an account you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. The service

Platey lets restaurants publish a digital menu accessible via QR code. Customers browse the menu and build a local cart on their device; Platey does not process orders, payments, or reservations between a restaurant and its customers.

3. Your account

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the menu content, photos, and branding you upload. You grant Platey a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, resize, and serve that content solely to operate the service. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use anything you upload, including photos and trademarks.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) publish content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, or unsafe; (b) misrepresent allergen or dietary information in a way that could harm a diner; (c) attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service; (d) use the service to send spam or phishing.

6. Plans and billing

Platey offers a free tier limited to one restaurant. Paid plans start at [PRICE]/month. Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

7. Availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that causes brief downtime. Downtime is not a basis for a refund on the free tier.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is being used abusively. On termination we'll delete your content within 30 days unless we're legally required to keep it longer.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Platey is not responsible for the accuracy of menu content published by restaurants, including allergen declarations. Diners with severe allergies should always confirm with restaurant staff.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Platey's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION]. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [JURISDICTION].

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
